There are more and more green developments that are mixing the use of plants, more for decorative use to more active roles such as natural climate and pollution control. Such new radical developments can be seen in the many architectural proposals where plants and trees are a vital part of a high-rise’s structure that they are providing natural air conditioning. Plants have long been known to keep the air cooler as their leaves absorbs most of the sun’s rays turning them into life giving oxygen, with ample green zones in the structure, they give off oxygen and filter the air giving us a better environment to live and work in.
Some of Europe’s most prestigious and environmentally friendly work environments such as Ferrari’s motor works have long incorporated a green zone within the structure due to it’s ability to regulate the ideal moisture level within the plant for the employee’s comfort and as a practical cooling solution. to less impact the earth, selection of native plants is essential so as not to waste resources and lessen the pollution that can result from such green zones making them work their magic as they have always done so naturally.
